J2ME Games & Apps
In the early 2000's we worked along with an old friend on both code and graphics for mobile phones. The most popular devices had a screen with 128 x 128 pixels. This was smaller than one of the icons on your recent 2018 retina iPhone and apps for Nokia devices had to fit in 64 kilobytes.
Without the ability to sell through large operators it wasn't uncommon for middle-men ate 80% of your sales revenues. This is why I never complain about Apple's or Google's share on the current app stores.
